Refinery Grade Fireproofing Material


BOVIA 271 is a medium and high density, exterior grade, heavy duty, cementitious fireproofing material ideal for refinery plants.

This passive fireproofing system can provide various hours of fire protection, that meets design specification of UL (Underwriters Laboratories Inc.) standard 1709 for  on-shore and off-shore refinery plants.

Developed through extensive research, BOVIA 271 provides remarkable physical properties that promote high quality and prolonged durability.


A limited number of products are able to endure the environmental conditions of oil & gas plants under the “Hydrocarbon Curve” test.

BOVIA 271 has been developed through fine-tuned chemistry that provides extreme fireproofing and protection, resistant to damage, user-friendly application, and capacity to withstand various climate conditions.

BOVIA 271 can be spray applied with wide a range of conventional plaster pumping equipment along with paddle mixers and most continuous mixers.


BOVIA 271 SFRM systems are found throughout the world’s petrochemical facilities providing fire resistance to steel columns/beams, pipe racks, vessel skirts and supports and is excellent in:
