BOVIA 271 II – A new leading product in Passive Fire Proofing

LUCO is delighted to announce the launch of an advanced version of our petrochemical grade passive fire proofing product called BOVIA 271 II. BOVIA 271 II has undergone strict testing by UL and is proved to have better performance in terms of thickness than our other leading product BOVIA 271. In addition to this, BOVIA 271 II has successfully obtained a Jet Fire Certificate (in accordance with ISO 22889), the very first ever Cementitious based product to be issued the certificate by UL.

BOVIA 271 II is a spray applied premix, based on vermiculite and Portland cement. It can be applied to protect structural steel, storage vessels and spheres from the effects of hydrocarbon and Jet fire events.

This versatile product, eliminates the common debonding and cracking issues, whilst still providing effective fire proofing for up to 4 hours for Oil & Gas (UL 1709), depending on the applied layer thickness and area of application.
